Would you believe us if we told you we could show you a tour of one of Disney’s most popular Resort hotels without you ever having to leave your couch?
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Not to mention, it won’t cost you a thing! Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a deluxe hotel that is within literal walking distance of Magic Kingdom. With perks like that, you can believe it’s just a bit on the pricier side. From new restaurants to old favorites and updated rooms, the Contemporary is loved by many Disney guests. And now, we’re taking you on a full room tour!
First things first, let’s talk about the architecture of the Contemporary. You might notice upon first glance that there’s actually a giant hole in the middle of the original building. That’s because the Walt Disney World Monorail actually goes through the hotel and stops inside!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort with Monorail Access to Magic Kingdom and Epcot
The Contemporary recently underwent renovations to several areas of the hotel, including updates to the lobby and a brand new restaurant, Steakhouse 71.

The updated lobby of the Contemporary
One of the most iconic aspects of the Contemporary is the large atrium that houses the monorail station, gift shops, and several dining locations. Check out the character breakfast at Chef Mickey’s for a delicious start to your day! You’ll also find Contempo Cafe, Outer Romeand of course – California Grill at the Contemporary too.

That’s our FULL look at a Main Tower Theme Park View Room at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. If this hotel isn’t your style, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort might be another Magic Kingdom Resort on your list that suits your fancy (literally!). We did a room tour of the Grand Flo earlier this year!

For a slightly less expensive hotel option, moderate resorts like Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resorts can be top notch. Don’t forget that all Disney Resort hotel guests can take advantage of Early Park Admission to all four theme parks, but only Deluxe Resort hotel guests receive Extended Evening Hours.
