Jay confessed to wanting to get to know Paige a little more on a teaser for Thursday night’s episode of Love Island.
And in scenes to come, the 24-year-old paramedic is left upset when 23-year-old Jacques – who she is currently coupled up with – admits he ‘isn’t bothered in the slightest’ that Jay wants to get to know her.
After witnessing the outburst between Jay, Ekin-Su and Jacques – Paige and Tash head up to the dressing room for some girl talk.

As Paige begins to sob, a concerned Tash asks: ‘What’s getting to you?’
‘The whole Jacques thing. He’s like ‘yeah go on have your conversation with Jay. But it’s not what I want, ‘she cries.
‘I’m just a bit like are you pushing it that hard because you aren’t feeling the same way?’
The dramatic clip ended with Paige stating: ‘You can either have all of my effort or none of it,’

Jay was initially happy with the way Ekin-Su received the news and then told Jacques that he is keen to get to know Paige – after the pair had grown themselves close.
He said: ‘I don’t want anything to get between us and I’m telling you man-to-man. I want to get to know Paige on a better level. ‘
Rather than being annoyed at his new competition, Jacques stands up for his pal and tells Ekin-Su he’s not surprised Jays’ eye has wandered.
Paige told Tash: ‘I’m just a bit like are you pushing it that hard because you aren’t feeling the same way?’
He shouted: ‘He coupled up with you, but he found out what you are within two days mate… af *** ing headache’
Jacques later confirms in the Beach Hut: ‘It doesn’t bother me, Lad. I’m a big believer in things happen for a reason. We’ll see how things go in the next few days

Shortly after, Ekin-Su pulled Jay for another chat at the fire pit and it appeared she has had a change of heart and grown more furious.
Ekin-Su said: ‘First of all, I take everything back that I said here. I was calm, collected and it just hit me now what you have done.
‘You knew at the recoupling to stay safe that I would pick you. You could have got to know Paige from day dot.
‘Why would you open up to me? Saying all these cute things like ‘my head wouldn’t turn’… ‘

In a short clip of the next installation of the dating show Ekin – who on Wednesday night’s show said she was starting to fall for the hunk – was sat by the fire pit for the row which ended with her telling him to ‘f ** k off ‘.
In the teaser clip she told him of his behavior with Paige: ‘It’s just hit me now what you’ve done, you’re telling me now you want to get to know Paige when she’s in a secure relationship. Do you know how muggy that makes you look?
‘Apparently I was a player in here but the biggest player in here is you. You deserve an Oscar for that, the biggest Oscar. So you should just f ** k off Jay! ‘
