Tasha Ghouri’s father has said that the Love Island contestant’s ability to lip-read is a ‘superpower’ in the villa.
The Love Islander, 23, was born deaf and her dad Tarek, 55, has said that this enables her to read the other contestants’ private conversations and body language.
Speaking to The Sun, Tarek said: ‘Her aid is very directional. It’s got a microphone at the front. So if people are talking behind at a distance, she probably won’t pick that up. But between that, her lip-reading and body language, she’s very good. ‘

Speaking in Mallorca last week, Tasha said: ‘I love Strictly and being a dancer, Rose is such an amazing role model it was so powerful what she did.
‘She represented me, as well as the deaf community and I just thought it was awesome. It was a beautiful message. ‘
