Hailey Bieber is ‘allowing her body to heal’ after a blood clot and insists husband Justin is ‘ok’

Hailey Bieber gave an update on her recent health scare and husband Justin’s ongoing medical issues as she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The model, 25, was hospitalized in March for a small blood clot in her brain which gave her stroke-like symptoms and more recently had a heart procedure.

Following her health scares, superstar husband Justin also found himself in need of medical attention as he battled Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that left one side of his face temporarily paralyzed.

Concerned talk show host Jimmy, 47, started his interview by checking in on the couple’s progress, asking: ‘You’ve had a rough couple of months, how is everything going?’

Yet Hailey insisted that she and Justin were on the mend, responding: ‘Everything is good. I’m doing okay. My health scare has, you know, we’ve moved on from it.

‘I’m just allowing my body the time to heal and do it’s thing but I’m doing okay.’

‘He’s [Justin] also doing okay. Obviously, it’s been a weird turn of events the last couple of months and even the last few days. ‘

As Jimmy said it must have been scary, Hailey replied: ‘He’s okay and he’s going to be totally okay.’

Jimmy pointed out that it had been almost 10 years since she moved to the city and started modeling and asked her what she remembered about those early days.

‘I moved into the city when I was 17,’ Hailey said. ‘I kind of had an agreement with my parents. I had really just started modeling and I was begging them ”Let me move into the city, please. It’s so much easier for just everything, for travel and for castings. ”

‘They were like’ absolutely not unless you can afford it on your own ‘,’ Hailey said. ‘Deal, if I book a job where I can afford it, my own rent for the whole year, you have to let me move out.’

Hailey said she proceeded to book her first job that paid for the whole year of her rent to the dollar.

‘I moved out but I lived with my older sister until I turned 18,’ Hailey said.

She also shared one of her most vivid memories of living in her first place in the city.

‘I was out to dinner one night with Justin,’ Hailey said. ‘He was like ”so you got your own place, how has it been been, have you got all your furniture? You have everything you need? ”

Hailey said she told him that she had a couch and dishes.

‘He’s like’ We’ll, that’s amazing, is there anything you don’t have yet? ‘,’ Hailey said. ‘And I’m like “yeah, I don’t have a TV yet, but it’s like I’m going to get one it’s not a big deal.”

Hailey said Justin was driving her home and on the way he said ”I can’t do this. We got to go to Best Buy. ‘

‘So he took me to Best Buy on the way home, and I was mortified because I’m like “you’re not about to buy me a TV” and he bought me a TV.’

‘He carried it upstairs himself,’ Hailey said. ‘He unboxed it, and did the whole thing. It was really cute. ‘

Jimmy said Justin was a gentleman.

‘I still have the TV,’ Hailey said. ‘I couldn’t get rid of the TV, you guys. It was too cute. It’s still in our apartment to this day. ‘

Jimmy then asked Hailey about her new skincare line called Rhode, her middle name, that launched on Wednesday.

‘It’s also my mom’s middle name,’ Hailey said.

Jimmy brought out her products and asked her what inspired her to start a skincare line. Hailey said that she was often asked by different makeup artists what she did for her skin.

‘It was just always something I felt really passionate about,’ Hailey said. ‘I was always someone, and clearly to this day, very committed to a routine, very regimented person who is very OCD about a skin-care routine.’

‘I just felt like over the last almost ten years of working in this industry, I felt like I was really able to develop my beauty philosophy,’ Hailey said. ‘I got to a point where I was like’ I want to make a curated edited line of essentials, my go-to things that can work for everyone. ‘

Hailey said she always knew that she wanted to use the name for a brand that she started.

‘Rhode skin just kept calling me and coming to me,’ Hailey said. ‘I also felt it was very fitting because my mom taught me so much about taking care of myself and skin care and sun care and all these different things. So I thought there was a really nice story there with the name. ‘

Jimmy showed a promotional picture from the line with Hailey posing with a glazed donut.

‘I want to give off the vibe of a glazed donut,’ Hailey said. ‘Edible, dewey, yummy, delicious.’

Jimmy laughed. He also pointed out that she was using some of the proceeds of the line for her Rhode foundation which in the first years hoped to support and help a thousand women through three different organizations.

Hailey also revealed that one of her early fashion inspirations was actually Hannah Montana.

‘Yeah, technically I was also very fashion inspired at the time by Hannah Montana, aka Miley Cyrus,’ Hailey said. ‘She used to wear outfits on Hannah Montana that I would try to recreate because I thought they were just like everything.’

Hailey said she was also inspired by her mother’s love of fashion and by supermodel icons such as Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, and Naomi Campbell.
