Tim Grendell Has Really Stepped In It Now

Tim Grendell, Attorney, Politician & Major Doofus
Remember those Troopergate hearings conducted by State Senator Tim Grendell? You know, the ones where even a Senate Republican questioned their purpose.
Big surprise, they were conducted for political purposes. Now we all knew that, but no one on the GOP side has said so. At least until now.
Last week the Ohio Republican Party passed a resolution condemning Tim Grendell for running for the Ohio House and then refusing to take the seat. In response to that resolution, Tim sent what he thought was a witty letter in response. You can read it here.
Unfortunately for Tim, he made a couple of pretty big mistakes. First, he bragged about and demanded credit for taking down Governor Strickland with these hearings. Here's the money quote:
Furthermore, I worked hard to facilitate John Kasich's election. My diligent pursuit of the Ohio Senate's investigation of the Strickland Administration's politically motivated mishandling of the drug drop at the Governor's Mansion had a detrimental impact on Governor Strickland's re-election effort. I do not recall receiving any affirmative recognition from you or the Central Committee for my hard work.
And then to top it off, he had his legislative assistant, a government employee, send this letter out by email on state time, from her state computer, in her state office, and through her state email account. Don't they indict public officials for misusing their government computers and internet access?
