A poll from Fox News, taken shortly after the last debate and after Ted Strickland's new positive ads began to run shows that this is now a 2 point race. Other polls, including a poll conducted by Ohio Newspapers shows the closeness of this race.
The fact is that the more Ohioans get to know John Kasich, the less they like him. The stakes and expectations will be too high for Kasich to risk another bad debate performance.
You heard it here first. Kasich will skip the last debate. He'll come up with a creative excuse, but the real reason will be that another debate would kill his campaign.
