The Pullins Report - Keeping Tabs on Ohio Business and Government: Legislative Co-Sponsors Needed
I will soon be introducing a bill to establish the Ohio
Planned Community Law.
As you are aware, Ohio
has an extensive statute governing condominiums. However, no statute exists
governing homeowner associations. This legislation mirrors, almost to the word,
the condominium statute as it applies to the operation of the association after
the development period. This proposed legislation does not contain any of the
restrictions contained within the condominium statute as it pertains to the
creation, development, and/or sales of planned communities. It in no way
affects the Ohio Home Builders Association.
If you would like to co-sponsor this legislation, please
contact Julie Eichorn in my office at 6-5343 or julie.eichorn@ohr.state.oh.us
by 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 15.
Thank you,
Julie
