Confirmed - Dann's Move Will Save Taxpayer Dollars
I surmised here recently, that Ohio AG Marc Dann's decision to move state office space to downtown Youngstown could save taxpayer dollars. Turns out I was right.
As the Canton Repository recently reported:
Speaking of affordability, Dann will not pay rent for a year for his offices at 20 Federal Place. After that, the rent will be $2 per square foot. Maybe this is a sweetheart deal for a hometown boy who made good, but I'm betting it's not much lower than the going rate for space in one of downtown Youngstown's premier office buildings.
HT to our good friends Right Angle Blog on this. Could this be a new trend to spur development outside of Franklin County while saving taxpayer dollars? Stay tuned.
