A Question for Fellow Republicans. Is Lobbying Really Corrupt Activity?

The Ohio GOP, using a story from the Cleveland Plain Dealer, is arguing that because two Democratic lawyers have registered to lobby for clients, they are corrupt.  Huh?  Come again?

Does that mean that lobbyists, by their very nature are corrupt?  Didn't Republican lobbyists record an uptick in business when the GOP ran everything?

Is it now illegal to practice law and publicly report the clients for which you lobby?  It would be illegal to lobby and not report, wouldn't it?

Heck, doesn't Ohio GOP Chairman Bob Bennett work for a Republican Lobbying/PR Firm?  Is that illegal or unethical?

Come on guys.  We can come up with better arguments than this.
